Swimming under water is basically known as Scuba Diving. Scuba divers use a gas for breathing under the water and thus can stay for longer period of time under the water. Every scuba diver needs to follow certain instruction while diving into the water. Various training programs for different levels are available. The Professional Association of Diving Instructors or PADI is one of the reputed scuba diving certification agencies worldwide. The instruction includes classroom as well as open water training. Basic requirement to enrol in this type of training is that you need to have the ability to swim non-stop for 200 yards. Initial training can be started by buying fins, octopus, weight, regulator, air cylinder, snorkel, mask, boots and weight belts. Equipments of good quality are always recommended. Most of the time, the certified instructors arrange equipments on rent.
The first stage of instruction consists of basic principles, safety measures and practical knowledge about scuba diving. The quality of the instruction depends on the efficiency, knowledge and experience of the instructors. When you dive in, you are always expected to stay with your dive buddy. A “C-Card” is awarded certifying that you are a recreational scuba diver. The instruction does not end here, you can move towards more professional training if you wish to. Diving instructions make you aware of the underwater life and you have a better understanding with the nature. There are plenty of other reputed scuba diving schools like the National Association of Underwater Instructors (NAUI), Scuba Schools International (SSI), the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) etc. imparting the techniques of scuba diving across the globe.
